This plumping toner has worked out really well for me thus far. I love how gentle it is on my skin, as well as it's ability to smoothen out my skin. There are Bakuchiol plumping capsules within this toner; I feel that these are useful in giving my skin a supple look. A little bit does go a long way, and it is easy to use as well. I like how my skin feels so far, and this skincare product has been very helpful in my skincare routine. I use this after I cleanse my skin, and before I add any serum or moisturizer. I've only been using for a short while, but I have seen some positive effects so far. I'm continuing to use this toner, and am looking forward to seeing the more longer-term results. I think this is a unique and helpful skincafe product. I love it thus far!

I wanted to try this because my skin is sensitive and kind of dramatic when it comes to traditional retinoids. Ads for Eqqualberry all stress it's supposed to be extra gentle because it uses bakuchiol instead. Overall, I'd say it did help me with overall skin texture, moisture, and plumpness. I did have some minor acne after the first few uses, but as with any retinoid type active, this "purge" should be expected. While I did get some acne, it was not as crazy as when I used a retinol product, so that was refreshing to see. This stuff has a hefty ingredient list. Niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and a whole boatload of various plant extracts. You'll really notice those plant extracts just from the fairly strong floral scent. I think all of the thicker moisturizing agents betray that this is marketed and labeled as a toner. It's surprisingly viscous and sticky, way closer to a serum. The extra viscosity is nice for application since you can make sure you get it where you want it and it absorbs fairly quickly. The ads always show people dripping this stuff all over. I would not recommend that. Use a small amount and spread sparingly. At $22, it can be considered on the pricier side for a toner, but if you consider it a serum or a combo product, it's pretty economical. I’ve been hearing such great things about the brand so it’s been a pleasure trying this toner. I use it on damp skin after cleansing, and I like that it has a thicker viscosity than other toners. I have dry, maturing skin, so anything that gives my hydration is welcome. The little capsules are so fun to rub into my skin. I feel like this toner has been giving me good hydration and I do get a bit of a sensation when I use it so I know it’s doing something. I haven’t had any adverse reactions to this toner, and my skin does seem to be more glowy. This toner is a little tacky, but I don’t mind it. I layer a moisturizer over top anyways, so the tackiness isn’t really an issue for me. I have not tried this under makeup yet and I wonder if the tackiness will be good for gripping make up. I will have to update this review after I try it. This is a big bottle and a little goes a long way. The price is already good so the fact that this product will last a long time is an excellent value. I like the lavender scent. This toner makes me excited to try other products from this brand.

This Bakuchiol Plumping Capsule Toner from Eqqualberry has a runny gel texture with a surprising amount of body and slip for a toner. It spreads very easily and feels really elegant on the skin. It’s non-sticky, but it does take a minute or two to fully absorb. Once it does, my skin feels hydrated, moisturized, and very comfortable. There is a noticeable herbal citrus scent, and this does include fragrance ingredients like bergamot oil, limonene, and linalool. If you’re sensitive to fragrance, that’s something to be aware of. I can be reactive to fragranced products, but thankfully this one did not sting or irritate my skin at all. Still, I do wish it were fragrance free, because I think that will limit who can enjoy what is otherwise a fantastic formula. This toner has a pH of around 5 according to my pH test strips. Ingredient-wise, this is really well put together. It has humectants like glycerin and panthenol for hydration, emollients like squalane and shea butter for moisture, and a strong antioxidant lineup including bakuchiol, three forms of centella asiatica, and grapefruit extract. It also includes the skin barrier holy trinity: ceramides (five different types), cholesterol, and fatty acids, which is something I’m always on the lookout for.
